Out of all the Warhorses that went overseas with the American Expeditionary Force in WW1 only 200 would return to the United States of America. This included the U.S. 2nd Cavalry

 

About the Author

Albert Marcantonio Jr.

The author was born and raised on long Island, New York and attended Sachem High School where he excelled in football, basketball and lacrosse. He graduated with concentrations in language and science. A graduate from East Stroudsburg University where he studied: business; sociology; criminal justice; anthropology; history; military science and political science. Shortly after graduation obtained a Commission in the United States Navy where aviation, aeronautics, quality assurance and aircraft maintenance management were studied. His military experience included tours of Duty with West Pac’s VP-17 and NAVAIR’s Naval Aviation Logistics Center. After serving in the fleet as an officer for seven years transferred to the fleet reserve and worked for companies such as Northrop/ Grumman, Ingersoll Rand / Dresser Industry and Curtis Wright all while working in quality as a quality professional. The author presently resides in Easton Pennsylvania while staying close to his daughters and family. Now active as a quality and security specialist for an established North Eastern pharmaceutical logistics company.
