Truth

Most of us avoid telling our truths for fear of alienating others or possibly hurting someone’s feelings. But until we’re courageous enough to share our truths…to bare our souls…we can’t be fully authentic in how we live in the world. I think of myself as a pack rat in that my mind crams itself with thoughts and one-sided conversations and beliefs I’ve created based on my own experiences. Unpacking this complex and beautiful mind has taken me through some valleys, but keeping it all stuffed in my head has been detrimental to my wholeness. My life is a journey, not a destination. What you’ll find between these covers is a voyeuristic peek into the journey of a flawed, complicated human being who has found a way to not only survive but thrive. Just like my life, there is humor and also tragedy. Some chapters are personal memoirs; others are my views of topics that I find interesting or for which I have a passion. No one leaves this life without having experienced the highest highs and the lowest lows. It’s how you deal with every opportunity presented that makes you who you are. These are my truths.
