About the Author

Asif Anwar, MD

Asif Anwar MD, completed his undergraduate in medicine at SMC-JPMC-UK. Later he completed his post doc at Northeastern and Northwestern. After completing his internship in the field of Internal Medicine, he pursued his Chief Residency and fellowship at Saint Louis University. He joined the United States Air Force as a flight surgeon and flew various combat missions and provided Critical Care Air Transport. He led the Aerospace Medicine team in the US Air Force. He is serving as a Pulmonary Fellowship program director and Assistant Professor of Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University and Chicago Medical School. He has previously authored “Concise Review of Critical Care, Trauma and Emergency Medicine” as well as “Fainting Pulse,” a quasi medical fiction about his life experiences.
