Who in their right mind would choose to expose their mistakes, their flaws, their embarrassments, & their disappointments WILLINGLY on a public platform? Certainly not my idea of fun.

I was never the one that was much involved in social media. But, as God was working on my heart and healing some things in my heart, writing became my ‘social media’ platform. “Growing Up In Marriage...Perfectly Flawed,” is a book about my choices. My journey. My vulnerabilities. My insecurities. My doubts. My feelings. My life. It’s about me. It’s not just about my brokenness and my hurts. But it’s about exposure. Exposure leading to transparency. And transparency leading to truth. And how in my truth, God healed me through the beauty of it all. I wouldn’t have chosen to expose myself in a public forum. But God saw differently. So, in my obedience, I’m putting myself out there to be ridiculed. To be judged. To be condemned. And, maybe even to be mocked. But with all of that, even still, my obedience to God’s instructions outweighs it all. If being transparent in my truth means that God can use my experiences for the greater good, To God Be The Glory! It just reaffirms what God told me, “Your life isn’t about you. You are living a life not your own.”
