As Jesus ascended into heaven, disappearing into the clouds, His disciples looked on in wonderment. Suddenly His words came back through two angels standing nearby: “Why are you looking for Him? It is now time for you to tell the story of this messiah to the world.” What an unbelievable task! the 120 followers must have thought. How are we going to tell the world this message of Christ? Their mission was to bring the Kingdom to Earth as they traveled the known world making disciples, passing on the same mission to thousands of new disciples.

Thy Kingdom Come Through the Generations follows the making of disciples from one generation after another, and the author includes profiles of 16 generations of his own family—some who shine this light of Christ and others who fail miserably. But the underlying message is clear: We are called, one generation after another, to continue the mission and tell the story of Jesus.
