Book Details

Can we cling to hope amid crisis? Can we one day become the nation we were meant to be, where equality, truth and empathy rise above color, money and power? Can we find normal amid chaos, fear and uncertainty?

This book is a truthful reminder of a two-month period in 2020 when our communities, North Carolina, America and the world were in the midst of a triple crisis—a growing pandemic, surging economic loss and racial unrest. Writing Bootcamp Charlotte members shared experiences and perspective while sowing truth, transparency and words of hope. Raw and emotional, the pieces depict the writer’s mood or specific circumstance during this period. When you read this book, we hope the crisis situations have changed for the better since May and June 2020.
