Kenneth Ashton is a retired middle school teacher. He has spent thirty-five years as a classroom teacher with children ages eleven through thirteen. He holds a master’s degree in education and became interested in mystery when he recognized the eagerness of his students to read this genre. He was also successful as a director of many student theatrical productions throughout his tenure. Many of the characters and settings in his third book A Mystery at Pinecroft Estate are taken from actual people and places that are close to his heart. As always Gale Merryweather’s character was created from his wife’s childhood memories.
