(Tender, Loving, Care) However, Kennedy’s hope of fame and fortune soon vanish when two men come to stay at the Pinecroft Inn. Gale soon learns that they plan to make a movie. A movie about a magical music box. A music box with the power of healing. The power to cure people who are deathly ill. Gale has only one problem. Someone stole the key. The key used to wind the music box and start the healing sounds. Gale’s situation becomes more dire, when she discovers that to find the key; she must solve three riddles. Riddles that lead Gale on a dangerous path to a very uncertain and potentially deadly end.

Kenneth Ashton

Kenneth Ashton is a retired middle school teacher. He has spent thirty-five years as a classroom teacher with children ages eleven through thirteen. He holds a master’s degree in education and became interested in mystery when he recognized the eagerness of his students to read this genre. He was also successful as a director of many student theatrical productions throughout his tenure. Many of the characters and settings in his third book A Mystery at Pinecroft Estate are taken from actual people and places that are close to his heart. As always Gale Merryweather’s character was created from his wife’s childhood memories.
