CRISIS IN THE WEST THE ATTEMPT TO DESTROY CHRISTIAN CIVILIZATION

Divine Providence has made Western civilization preeminent in the world. By making Western civilization preeminent in the world God has provided for the dissemination of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the four corners of the globe. Western civilization grew out of the achievements of the ancient Greeks and Christianity. From the ancient Greeks Western civilization inherited its intellectual prowess while Christianity gave Western civilization its core values - the belief in the law, the individual and God. Christianity is the basis for Western civilization which is also referred to as Christian civilization and in time gone by as Christendom.

Today Western civilization faces existential threats. Communist China and radical Islam are threatening Western preeminence. Yet, the greatest threat is internal. It comes from the godless socialists who are trying to replace Western civilization with world socialism.

Their efforts have centered on the destruction of our Christian values in an attempt to separate us from God, the source of the civilization’s success and greatness.

The left’s control of education has left too many people with little or no knowledge of the accomplishments or the history of Western civilization. Crisis in the West: The Attempt to Destroy Christian Civilization discusses the accomplishments and traces the history of Western civilization, including biblical history and the history of Christianity. Emphasis is placed on how historical developments fulfilled God’s plan for the preeminence of Western civilization. It also explores the challenges Western civilization faces from Communist China, radical Islam and socialism.
