He taught the history of art in ways that involved not only art, but theology, philosophy, literature, and the underlying direction of history. A first, unpublished book, on modern intellectual history since the Enlightenment, served to identify in detail the anti-traditional direction of Modernity. It may be published next, since it is crucial to all his writings. The title of the second book is The Greatness of God; How God is the Foundation of All Reality, Truth, Love, Goodness, Beauty, and Purpose. It reveals great differences. Perilous Times goes much further in defining threatening developments in America over the past sixty years.
