The word gospel means ‘Good News’

Perhaps you realize that the message the institutionalized church speaks is not the same message that JESUS came to proclaim. 1 John 3:8-18 teaches us that the reason why JESUS came to earth was to teach all of us what it means to have the LOVE of GOD. Verse 8 tells us that JESUS came to earth to destroy the work of the evil one (the evil one teaches people that they can get by with self love). At this time I would like to point out that the church system has not just dropped the ball and proclaimed a different message than what JESUS preached, but the way that the church is set up is incorrect. In Matthew 13:10-11 the disciples asked JESUS why HE was not preaching to everyone in the crowd. The modern church thinks that the correct way to evangelize the world is to cram people into a stadium, but JESUS taught us to invest time into the lives of a handful of people (some preachers probably do not even try to learn every persons name). Instead of going a mile wide and only an inch deep, go a mile deep and an inch wide. In other words instead of trying to say hello to everybody at the party, slow down and pick out a handful of people that you would like to know and ask those people what their favorite color is, and what is that persons favorite season of the year. Let’s start to follow in the footsteps of KING JESUS!
