About the Author

Robert J. (Bobby) Orr

Bobby & Sandy Orr lifelong residents of Illinois Capital City have produced another fun and interesting Pub Crawl through the neighborhood taverns of Springfield Illinois. While Bobby is a retired police investigator and a private detective none of his professional accomplishments prepared him and his wife Sandy a retired human resources professional for their first book Tavern Talk. “Research for the book was the most fun” but listening to the old-timers telling the tales of their old time tavern days was very insightful and rewarding. Tavern Talk-Just One More is not only a fun read it’s a social history book documenting the valuable historic message the neighborhood taverns their owners and many outside influences such a tavern food’s, organized crime and anti alcohol movements played in history.
