About the Author

Gail Rose Thompson

Gail Rose Thompson grew up on a horse farm in Ontario, Canada. After graduating from Hamilton Teachers’ College, she taught school for several years. When her husband was sent to Iran on business, she and her children accompanied him and spent the better part of the 1970s there. During that time, she became the trainer of the Shah’s Imperial Stables where she met many high-powered and influential people. Upon her arrival in Richmond, Virginia, she opened a school of equitation, which over the next forty years developed into a renowned training facility for Hunter/Jumper horses and riders. Since her retirement from the horse business she has time to follow her passion for writing. She lives in Ocala, Florida.
