Robyn G. Wall is retired and lives in Austin, Texas with his wife and two adolescent step-children. Before retirement, his career as a clinical social worker, psychotherapist, and director of clinical treatment programs spanned 43 years and five U.S. states. Robyn and the staffs he led provided clinical services to individuals, couples, and families, some of whom struggled with grief issues related to terminal illnesses or the deaths of loved ones. Not surprisingly, many of those persons had concerns and curiosities about the afterlife, and after Robyn entered his post-retirement years, he began to ponder over those same matters himself—a cognitive and spiritual journey that ultimately led him to write Adin’s Tutorial. Although Robyn is a lifelong Christian who has served as a deacon and Bible school teacher, this book is not meant to be a strict Biblical representation of the afterlife; it simply reflects Robyn’s personal views of what Heaven could be like. When a family friend asked Robyn if his new writing project would be fiction, he smiled and replied that since he wanted to write a dramatic personal story about the afterlife, he had no choice other than fiction because he could not get a pass from God to visit Heaven for theological research. As you read this book, you will see that Robyn’s sense of humor is imbued in Adin’s own personality makeup, thus making a serious literary topic lighter and more reader friendly.
