Winston Philpott was born on February 25,1926.,at Point au Bay..Nl. Canada.Where he received his education.He Married Verna Morgan of Lushes Bight ,Long Island ,Green Bay.She was a Teacher at Bishop Falls.Winston met her at Botwood,where she was visiting Friends.
Winston started work at the Post Office as Messenger Boy.From there ,working on a Boat,then to Pan American Airways when the Flying Boats were Flying through Botwood,Then he relocated to Gander.as part of the refuelling crew,and Goose Bay airport,Labrador,than to Victoria BC.and Edmonton,AB.
Returning Home again. working with Imperial Oil as a refueler,then starting a wrecking Yard ,wrecking about 500 Cars and Trucks,then sold out.,working with the Town as Foreman for three years,the last hitch was in the Steam Boiler Room for the Hospital at Botwood,where he retired at 60 years of age,
After writing poems most of his life,tucking them away and most of them ended up in the garbage.,untill another Writer encouraged him to publish them,he did,in the Book,called BIittersweet Memories,now this is the second Book,My Wealthy Grand Father.make a living for his Family or die trying
