Mikey is feeling invisible at school. He is constantly being overlooked and ignored by his classmates, and it’s making him feel all alone. One day, troubled and overwhelmed, Mikey finally breaks his silence and blurts out exactly how lonely he has been feeling! Will his confession isolate him even more from his classmates? Or will they change their attitudes toward him and realize that his feelings matter—that we ALL matter?

Angel Tawandra Jacqueline McGowan - Illustrated by Matthew Linn

About the Author: Angel McGowan is an award-winning author who wrote her first children’s book, Stomp out the Bullying, at the age of fifteen. Recognized by South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley for her outstanding achievement, Angel then produced a video to accompany her children’s book and won the Red Carpet National Best Message Award at the 2012 Great American NO BULL Teen Video Awards Challenge in San Francisco, California. She is now a college student majoring in mathematics. About the Illustrator: Matthew Linn is a junior at Clemson University, majoring in graphic communications, minoring in business and art. Matthew has won many honors, including the Congressional Art Competition, where his digitally manipulated photograph was displayed in The Cannon Tunnel in the U.S. Capitol. Matthew is an avid soccer player and photographer.
