Walker Guerrier developed a love for reading and writing when his mother emigrated to the United States, leaving him with his father, a newspaper director. At six years old, Walker would read the paper to his elderly grandmother and write letters each month to his mother. When he came to the U.S., he tutored high school students in an after-school program and later tutored college students who were required to take a writing exam. Today he lives in New York.
