Soft And Gentle 2

---A Remembered Prose

Book Details

Life is about exploring love, beauty, nature, happiness, and dreams, while enduring hardships.

As we age, we slowly realize that our time here is limited. By realizing what is important and unimportant in life, we can more readily devote our time to the things that really matter. Spending time with, and appreciating, the ones that we love, far outweighs everything else in life. Watching a sunrise or sunset, or exploring wildflowers in the woods, can amazingly melt away stress. Spending time with nature, and realizing its loveliness, can help satisfy our seemingly insatiable desire to be constantly entertained. While we are certain to encounter hardships in life, we must merely endure them as best we can. On the other hand, the beauty of life is always there for our taking, without limits, only dependent upon the extent of our desire for it. If one wants life’s beauty, it is there. Even if one doesn’t want it, it is still there; it is just that an opportunity to experience that beauty is being wasted. Life is too short to miss too many golden opportunities. Contemplate this heartfelt collection of prose, and let it mellow the heart as it explores life, love, beauty, nature, happiness, losses, dreams, and nostalgic memories. Take a little time to discover these unique observations, and enjoy the soft and gentle aspects of life.

About the Author

James A. Hunter

Jim grew up as the youngest of eleven children on a hilly, mostly-wooded farm in the rural community of Metamora, Indiana. Because their livelihood depended upon everyone's contribution, work was the common, consistent theme. Everyone helped raise a garden, pick berries, put up hay, milk cows, and raise crops. Although they thought that too much of their time was spent working, they always found time to play hard, whether it was day or night. That second generation, family farm still survives with third and fourth generation ownership, spanning nearly one hundred years. Jim's love for nature and his nostalgic, childhood memories later led to his owning part of the farm, as well as much of the valley surrounding it. His passion for writing began, and was nurtured, while living in the valley.
