Book Details

When a child is born, they feature a blend of characteristics handed down from both the father and the mother. But what of those children whose blend is also of race? In this marvelous book, the answer is clear: The child is a treasured gift to both families! Sissy and Bubba are adorable little “mocha munchkins” with unruly, curly hair. Their mother, who has straight hair, can’t control the children’s gorgeous locks, so she calls for reinforcements—an opportunity for both sides of the family to come together and calm the storm of curls! In Mocha Munchkins, the lessons are strong and the message simple: Love, acceptance, and family are stronger than the differences we bring.
