Masaharu Kenda is back!
This second adventure story finds Kenda in French Indochina. It is the summer of 1941. Kenda’s reputation as an investigator has preceded him, and an Intelligence Officer needs his special talents. An illegal supply chain has been providing war goods to the Chinese Army. The French administration has been looking the other way. Kenda and his team must stop them. A mysterious Catholic nun, and a sultry Viet businesswoman have something to do with the resistance. They know something… but what? How are they involved? Night clubs, French businesses, and the local resistance all conduct suspicious clandestine activities. Dark underground passageways, a secret message system, and a vicious Army Intelligence Captain all figure in the insane world that is Hai Phong, Indochina. In the center of it all is an Anglican Catholic Church. The investigations go everywhere; but somehow, Kenda and his team keep finding themselves at “Saint Barts.”
