I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL

Who are we? Are our decisions fueled by faith or fear? Do we run and hide when the chips do not fall in our favor? How do the consequences of life affect us? Do we deny and pretend as if we’ve never made mistakes or do we acknowledge and face them head on? In Have You Ever Fallen Short? – Honesty And Transparency Leads To Victory (Part 1), author Dominique Balque candidly unveils her ‘wilderness’ – the shame and embarrassment she experienced through failure. It was through this “hell-way” that she not only realized she wasn’t close to perfect but, most importantly, she finally came to terms with the fact that she was actually created to “need” God, by design.

In Have You Ever Fallen Short? You’ll learn:

• How to Jump over the Hurdles of Fear
• How Truth is always the road we must travel
• How Peace is Acceptance
• How Trusting is not Easy but Necessary
• How to Locate Your Heart
• How to Exhale from Past Mistakes
• How Brokenness is the Process towards Winning not Losing

Have You Ever Fallen Short? is more than inspirational, it’s powerful. It boldly empathizes and realistically connects to youth, young adults and adults alike softening even the hardest of hearts; it gives hope to the discouraged and tenderly walks one out of defeat and straight into victory.

FOREWORD

It seems that one of the greatest fears in our day is the fear of failure. It seems to affect our confidence and our knowledge of who we are as a person. Fear of failure infects our personality and makes us overly cautious and often hesitant to make decisions, sometimes bringing about the very failure that was feared.

Dominique Balque has dealt with this fear in her book "Have You Ever Fallen Short?" This book considers the benefits of transparency as we expose our personality to others and allow ourselves to be evaluated by them. The book also shows that everybody experiences failures from time to time, but not everybody is crippled by them. In fact, failure is the engine by which we can learn profitable lessons concerning things to do and not to do the next time that particular situation arises. Failure should never result in condemnation, but in an assurance of how to act the next time. To be human is to experience failure. How one deals with failure is what distinguishes great people from common people.

The book also considers the peace that results in one's heart when one knows what to do in a given situation, or how to solve a particular problem. Acceptance of people as they are and how to maintain friendship over the long haul are important topics that are presented. How far does one go in trusting another person depends on the value of the thing they are being trusted with. One's heart is always looking for someone with whom one can share details of one's life, including failures, without being scorned or put off. In the search for openness and peace and a true friend, the reader will discover that brokenness of one's spirit is very important, and that surrender of one's life to the God of the Bible is vital to discover true peace. In addition, the reader will find that God's son Jesus is ready and willing to be a faithful friend who will never leave or forsake the one who is committed to him.
