THE RELUCTANT VIGILANTE

Jayson McCallister is Everyman. Just a fun-loving, good-natured guy like most other guys on the planet. But one very traumatic event on one fateful night would change his life forever. For a guy who never owned a gun, never fired a gun and someone who really doesn’t even like guns, he’s been thrust into the life of a vigilante out of necessity, not out of desire. His daily conflict is that no one is above the law but as fate would have it, he’s become the person he has always despised – a vigilante. All he wants is to get his old life back but those days are seemingly gone forever. Jayson is now a fugitive trying to right the wrongs of society. He has become judge, jury and executioner and he hates it. But someone has to deal with the bad guys that the cops are incapable of doing either because of botched arrests, insufficient evidence or very smart but slimy defense attorneys. Jayson is a lone man trying to get rid of the evils of society one bad guy at a time. He didn’t pick this line of work or this particular lifestyle – it picked him. He knows he’s in way over his head. How long can it last before something very, very bad happens to him? That’s the question he asks himself every day.
