A gradual rise of the sun pierces the sky, cut in half by the ocean.

Too bright to watch so I cover with a hand and close an eye,

as everything moves in slow motion.

Nature sings in unison, creating a sweet gospel-like melody, harmonizing to the horizon and orchestra of peace and harmony.





The poems of Clifton Williams cover a wide array of themes—from ordinary moments of extraordinary beauty to broader subjects, like love and spirituality.



Williams brings a fresh perspective and an honest, urban flavor to his poetry. “I feel everyone has a voice in life, and this is mine. I believe that words of any language have powers beyond recognition,” he explains. “Because of poetry’s unpredictability, interpreting it can be very exciting.”



Writing poetry has been exciting and expressive, emotional and aggressive, intriguing and possessive. It allows writers and readers to become mortal or immortal, travel through land, sky, or portals; it could be informative, positive, and persuasive, and always imaginative, and creative. You could live amongst the filthy rich or extremely poor, you could do nothing at all in life, or strive for even more.

This book is a make up of several poems that are either a reflection of my personal life experiences or images that I have created mentally.
