The author Lawrence Anthony grew up on the far south side of Chicago in the Pullman community. His passion and love for poetry began at an early age when he first read Maya Angelou's renowned book "I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings." He published his first poetry book "Lyrical Foreplay" in June of 2010. He is currently working on his second poetry book "Mindset" which should hit the bookstores sometimes in the Winter of 2019. Also, he is the host of Epic poetry an online Facebook poetry group where poets can showcase their poetic skills and artistic creativity.
