Dr. James W. (Jim) Strickland is a U.S. Air Force and Department of Veterans Affairs retiree and a licensed clinical social worker with over 37 years of counseling, teaching,motivational and public speaking experiences. He has done extensive work with hospice and was a founding member, board member and Social Worker for a humanistic Hospice organization in Dublin, Georgia. He is a believer of the inner strengths of the whole person including mind, body and spirit. He is a true advocate of the rights of the aged and the terminally ill and an emphasizer that the dying are still human beings and should be treated ethically and holistically through their transition from this life.
Dr. Strickland is an alumni of J.W. Darden High School, Opelika, Alabama; Columbia College,Missouri; the University of Denver's Graduate School of Social Work, Denver, Colorado; Webster University, St Louis; and the American Institute of Holistic Theology (AIHT) Birmingham, Alabama. AIHT is licensed by the State of Alabama and Accreditated by the American Association of Drugless Practicioners.
The author is a spiritually talented Clinical Social Worker, a motivating public speaker as well as an excellent customer service consultant. He is a member of the National Association of Social Workers; American Association of Christian Counselors and the Air Force Association.
