Book Details

Finally, a book that takes an honest look at stupidity.

At a fast-food establishment, business was brisk especially for a weekday, but it was summer. There were quite a few cars at the Drive-Thru lines at the counter were a bit long, and people were sitting at tables and on stools at the bar eating. The manager went to the doors, keys in hand, and locked the doors. Someone asked, "Why?" The manager responded: "We've got too many customers."

Stupidity is found in government, industry, business, education, sports, and politics. Stupidity is found from the bottom of an organization to the top of the totem pole. It exists in individuals, in pairs, in groups, en masse, in the young, and in the old. People can seemingly contract it or they can be slightly impacted by it. People can grow into it, and they can also grow out of it.

What is intelligence and what is stupidity? Are there ways to measure it? And how do we learn to deal with the stupidity of our relatives, coworkers, and friends?

Stupidity isn't as transparent as one may think. If you lie, cheat, are unforgiving, untrustworthy, gullible, vulgar, rude, disrespectful, or inconsiderate, we strongly encourage you to take the stupidity self-assessment test!

Book Excerpt

Just like the problem and expected problems that have come with global warming, many of us were not even aware that there was such a thing, at least not as serious as it is turning out to be. Those who screamed warnings at the top of their lungs years ago, were unheeded. Our leaders were misdiagnosing the ills of the country, and mis-allocating funds and resources to cure those misdiagnosed ills. That is what is happening now with stupidity. Absolutely nobody has recognized the global problem of stupidity. All we know is that countries are still competing to stamp out ignorance by focusing on education as the answer. ..This is accurate and worthwhile...but pales in comparison to the need to address stupidity.
