Book Details

How can the most unpleasant and adverse circumstances produce a "character" blessing to the world? The answer is unveiled within.

Does it seem as if you are in a holding pattern - waiting for your breakthrough? Be blessed as you read about Hannah, whose life was packed with challenges and painful experiences. Her story continues to be a source of encouragment to many individuals weathering the storms of life. As you read this book, you will find that, for a season, Hannah had been locked into the ‘winter’ phase of her life, but soon, God would turn her winter into spring – her weeping into rejoicing! Through this great woman’s life, you will find comfort in knowing that prayer not only changes things, circumstances, and situations, but it will change you [the seeker]. You will say, as Hannah probably said, "It was well worth the wait!"

Book Excerpt

To be loved, cherished, wooed, continually courted, pleasantly entreated, embraced, sought after in some small way, and to be valued as who you are, is a constraining need that permeates the life of every human being that walks on the face of this earth. Hannah was no different than any woman of her day. She was a woman who had needs. It seemed hopeless for Hannah. Hannah was perplexed, and she was somewhat frustrated due to her being barren. [Frustrate: to prevent from attaining a goal or fulfilling a desire; to cause feelings of discouragement or bafflement] Yet, one of Hannah’s main concerns was to ‘know’ God and be identified with Him as she went through. Though it seemed bleak, God was up to something for Hannah. One of our main priorities should be to be identified with Christ Jesus – in His life, in His burial and in His resurrection. Paul said, “And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death: If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead. Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 3:9-12)
