Jessie Bannerman, had an outrageous temper. She was stubborn, willful, and as immovable as they come. Once again her temper had driven her, too attempt to put two powerful men in prison. The only one that ended up behind bars was Jessie. Now Jessie wonders if this had all been worth the terror of being pushed into a cold cell, surrounded by strangers. They had taken everything from her, her job, her home. But knowing Jessie this was not over.

Jessie was once again spiting mad, and without thinking, she hauled back her right arm and tightened her fist and punched him just under his right eye. Pain traveled up her arm with such speed that she gasped air into her lungs, and almost toppled herself of the box. The pain in her arm fled when she became aware of his murderess glitter in his eyes.
