Book Details

“Home is a name, a word, it is a strong one; stronger than any magician ever spoke, or spirit ever answered to, in the strongest conjuration.” —Charles Dickens

Wanderers is the story a man in the last years of his life tells to his grandchildren. Wanting to share family history through the lens of their ancestors, Aurellano describes first his father’s life, then his mother’s, and how the blending of two cultures enriched all their lives. Finally, he tells of his own travels around the world and the importance of three special chairs… Woven throughout the narrative is the concept of guilt—accepting and understanding it and gaining forgiveness—but ultimately, Wanderers is a loving and graceful debut novel about family and home.
