Federal Employment Law

The co-authors of this book--a former federal attorney who has expertise and experience relating to complex federal employment laws and a retired law professor--provide federal employees and their attorneys with a comprehensive review and analysis of the differing rules and procedures relating to federal employment disputes as well as the requirements for bringing a federal employment claim. This book is a valuable handbook and tool for understanding the difficult and often confusing laws that a federal claimant should be aware of before bringing a claim against the federal government. In pointing out the dissimilarities in employment law for federal employees, the book includes many informative examples that trace and explain facts and rulings from actual cases and events. This book is unique as it explains the structure and classification scheme of the federal workforce. Additionally, it informs the reader of the presidential executive orders that now directly affect federal employees. The book also points out the pitfalls and potential bias a federal employee claimant may encounter when seeking redress against the federal government. This book is a must for federal employee claimants and the attorneys who represent them in their employment concerns and claims against the federal government.
