About the Author

Ken Moreland and John Hanson

Ken Moreland is a fifth-generation rancher in the Sandhills of Northwestern Nebraska. He and his wife Sharon have run a hunting operation on the Niobrara River since 1986 and occasionally writes a column “Tales From The Trail” for a local newspaper. He enjoys hunting, camping and history. John Hanson is a fourth-generation rancher in the rugged Big Horn Mountains west of Kaycee, Wyoming. At an early age, he began guiding deer and antelope hunters on the ranch. For many years he guided elk hunters in the Teton wilderness area for L.D Frome. He enjoys flying, racing cars and anything mechanical.
