“The Train” and “Jude’s Wife”

"The Train" and "Jude's Wife" contain a poem and a short story written by a poet who also is a religious depth psychologist. "The Train" is a poem about a married couple who experiences tests, decisions, guidance and mystery in the marriage leading them to a discovery of enduring peace amidst trials. "Jude's Wife" is a short story on attraction outside of marriage and its resolution. Both works are on the vocation of marriage.

Angelyn Spignesi Kopylec Arden, Ph.D., is a Professor of Humanities at Holy Apostles College and Seminary in Cromwell, Connecticut, and a psychologist. She has written nine books on the interface of literature, depth psychology, religion and philosophy. She and her husband Ken enjoy oil painting and living a simple and contemplative life.
