Vanessa Valles is a licensed clinical social worker. She has been working in the mental health field for over the past twenty years and has been a practicing mental health counselor for over the past ten years. She loves working with patients and has used her own personal experience and work experience as inspiration and content for this fictional story. Ms. Valles has over ten years’ experience working with individuals seeking care following traumatic life events, complicated loss, and planned loss. Her hope is that this story will aid as a therapy tool that can be helpful for children, parents, and mental health counselors to use during the healing journey with children.
