Verona took writing courses at Sarasota Community College and studied with the Institute of Children's Literature. She was a member of the Westcoast Writers group in Sarasota and published a book, The Tapestry, with a sample of each of their writings. Verona has various articles published in Doorways and Reflections Under the Sun. She resides in Sarasota, Florida.
