The Hon. Robert H. McWilliams
An Autobiography
Judge Robert H. McWilliams stands as a shining example of a fully self-actualized man. With his brilliant mind and kind heart, he enthusiastically supports his family, his friends, his church, his schools, the judiciary and his country. Bob actively lives his principles of kindness, honesty, generosity and hard work. He has been a judge for more than 60 years having served on the Denver Municipal Court, the Denver District Court, the Colorado Supreme Court and the United States Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. "Upon information and belief," he is the longest sitting judge in the history of Colorado and perhaps the United States. He is loved and respected by his peers, members of the legal community, friends and family. He is a treasure.
- Joan McWilliams
"Bob McWilliams is my trusted friend and valued colleague. Our judicial system has been strengthened by his intellect and the character he brings to our Court and its decisions."
Chief Judge Robert Henry,
10th Circuit Court of Appeals
"What kind of judge is Bob
McWilliams? His former law
clerks describe him as:
Fair minded, excellent judicial
temperament, decisive, good-
natured, patient, tolerant, an
extraordinary individual, a man
of honor, a person to respect,
a mentor."
