Gifts from the heavens….or a curse on mankind?
The High Council of Sentients is comprised of five Gray Elders: Ikolf, Htron, Tsae, Htuos, and Tsew. They are enlightened vessels of truth and light that possess the total sum of all knowledge and wisdom ever gathered since their sentient life began eons ago. Their expressed purpose is to seek out, establish and ensure “a higher order” for all life forms within the Universe. Despite their wisdom, knowledge and the genius of their technology, the Grays know that they need all the help they can get to meet their prime directive for promoting life, safeguarding peace and ensuring prosperity.
The High Council just voted to eliminate one of man’s deadliest vices:--wrath. Indeed, it would now change his entire future and destiny. Man’s insult and injury to his fellow man would be totally eliminated. Wars and destruction would be no more. What a gift to mankind! However, would this change benefit all of mankind as proposed or just the Grays, who are planning an interstellar trip to Earth that mankind knows nothing about?
The High Council’s First Charge, Ameil, travels to Earth and makes their plea for goodwill and friendship. His visit and messages create quite a public stir. He even offers mankind full membership and a seat on the High Council. This overture really perplexes Earth. Mankind clearly doesn’t know what to think about him or his offers! Knowing that there are now ‘others’ within the Universe, what are the costs and benefits doing something or just doing nothing? It all becomes quite a dilemma for both species to solve amicably.
The Grays decide to employ a plan to gain the needed ‘buy in’ for mankind’s approval. They salt their offers with the promise of new knowledge, technology and information-sharing to keenly address some of mankind’s most pressing needs and problems: basic human needs (food, housing, medicine, energy, transportation) and planetary stability (climate change, resource preservation, disease eradication, population control, species preservation, spent nuclear fuel abatement/mitigation, ocean and atmospheric sustainability). Other benefits offered include: interstellar trade and commerce opportunities; joint space exploration ventures; a species exchange program; and, even a cultural awareness fellowship program between the species!
So join this new, exciting interstellar journey of the Grays as they approach a highly skeptical planet to ‘seal the deal’ for peace, prosperity and a bright, promising future for both species!
