The Forgiveness Diet

“In the tradition of T.D. Jakes, Dr. Grady is among the few men anointed to really understand Black Women’s pain, and appointed to deliver the medicine that heals them. ‘The Forgiveness Diet’ is that medicine. Read it, and finally lose the weight and keep it off!” — Dr. Michele DeLeaver Balamani, Author, Dancing on Our Graves: Healing the Hearts and Souls of Women. Black women are reservoirs of strength and endurance who, if they lived in a purely matriarchal society, would be among the world’s greatest rulers. Their often “single” ability to multitask and take care of business, against formidable odds, has been lauded by poets, songwriters, and society in general. But despite their achievements, many suffer from a spiritual sickness that leaves them swollen with the pains of unresolved hurts, as they carry the weight of the world in their mind, body, and spirit. Over time, the sewage builds up, rendering them emotionally obese. In The Forgiveness Diet, Dr. Jendayo Grady uses the Word of God to take us on a spiritual and psychological journey into the crippling effects of living daily with unforgiveness. In a series of practical scenarios, Dr. Grady shows us God’s blueprint for forgiveness, freeing us to “lay down every weight,” right at the foot of the cross. Like all good diet plans, The Forgiveness Diet only works if you work it. Thus, each chapter of this engaging book ends with a personal challenge, so that step by step, the reader starts shedding the unwanted pounds caused by years of anger and unforgiveness. By the end of the book, you will experience the powerful, liberating feeling of knowing that a more fulfilling destiny awaits you when you choose to forgive.
