The Dudek Diet Plan is an 8 week program consisting of 5 Phases during which you will be primarily concerned with the AMOUNT AND PATTERN OF YOUR CARBOHYDRATE INTAKE. There are 3 major nutrients that we consume in our diet: carbohydrates, proteins, and fats. It is important to understand that it is the ratio of these 3 major nutrients that is the key factor in staying lean and trim. None of these nutrients is inherently the bad guy. The reason the Dudek Diet Plan focuses on carbohydrates is that it is the carbohydrates that are out of balance in the American diet. As you proceed through the Dudek Diet Plan, I will explain the dietary thinking behind each of the phases.

Americans have been brainwashed into believing the Calorie Hypothesis of Weight Gain. This hypothesis says that Calorie Intake = Calorie Ouput. In other works, you gain weight because you either eat too much (increase your calorie intake) or you exercise too little (decrease your calorie ouput). So logically it would appear, if you want to lose weight you eat less (reduce your calorie intake) and exercise more (increase your calorie ouput). However, this is COMPLETELY WRONG!!! THIS METHOD OF DIETING FAILS EVERYTIME!!! IT IS NOT THE NUMBER OF CALORIES YOU EAT!!! IT IS THE RATIO OF CARBOHYDRATES, PROTEINS, AND FATS THAT IS THE KEY FACTOR!!! IT’S NOT THE NUMBER OF CALORIES YOU EAT, IT’S THE KIND OF CALORIES YOU EAT!!!

Dr. Ron Dudek, PhD is a tenured full professor at the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University in Greenville, NC. Dr. Dudek received his PhD from the University of Minnesota Medical School and was a post-doctoral fellow at Northwestern University School of Medicine in Chicago. Dr. Dudek has published 28 research manuscripts in the area of diabetes and obesity. He has also authored 12 medical textbooks including High Yield Genetics, High Yield Embryology, High Yield Histopathology, High Yield Gross Anatomy, High Yield Physiology, and High Yield Cell/Molecular Biology.
