Joel Maldonado served 28 years protecting the nation’s border at the El Paso and Del Rio sectors. He also taught Spanish and immigration law at the Border Patrol Academy. He received a BA in Spanish from Texas A&M–Kingsville. Joel is married with two sons and a daughter. Joel hails from Kerrville, Texas.
