Book Details

The African American King

Kings of our royal African past, ruled with passion, wisdom, morality and love. As an African American man, I have come to discover that our heritage is royalty, and the qualities exhibited throughout our rich history by our ancestors, dwell in the soul of the African American people. Through this revelation of appreciation for our ancestry, I have been inspired to address our past issues of enslavement, which has continued to stifle us as a heritage, and has kept many in our heritage from realizing their royalty and intended destiny. It is my sincere desire to speak words that will strengthen and equip the African American culture as a whole, and the future of our African American heritage. As we begin to cultivate and understand our royalty, which has been entrusted to each of us by the sacrifice of our ancestors, we must come to understand what their sacrifice means to us today, and allow ourselves to connect with them spiritually, intellectually and emotionally. Today we must understand that many of our ancestors, who overcame slavery, did so because they had a relationship with Jesus Christ. As I have begun my project, many thoughts and emotions have flooded my heart, my mind and my soul. The transparency, from which I write, is of a sincere motive of my heart, which is to offer illumination and awareness, while bestowing spiritual insight to our heritage as we embrace truths.

About the Author

William Jennings

William Jennings is a student of the human condition, wielding the written craft to enrapture the mind much like an artist wields a brush. The pages are a blank canvas on which to draw from a talent heralded by many and matched only by an imagination that rises to the task. The African American King is the first in a series of recent pursuits, with work progressing quickly on the follow-up.
