Michael R. Grimm is a retired forensic scientist with 38 years of service with both the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Virginia Department of Forensic Science. He spent most of his childhood in western Washington State in the same area where the events in this book took place. His devotion to family and lifelong admiration of law enforcement have culminated in the pages of this book. Throughout his professional career he has remained neutral on the subject of capital punishment even after testifying in dozens of death penalty cases throughout the United States. He now resides in rural Virginia with his beloved wife of 49 years, Judy.
