Book Details

Darkly funny and uncomfortably true, Storage Queen Chronicles reveals the humor in heartbreak and the quiet dignity of disaster.

Behind every locked door is a story: Khaleesi, the “Storage Queen,” unlocks them all. As the owner of Whiskey River Storage, Khaleesi initially thought that hoarders, heart-breakers, wannabe rock stars, and individuals who mistake storage units for living quarters or business opportunities were just occasional happenings. But she soon realized that almost daily, there were bizarre discoveries inside her units with secrets better left buried. Often, she finds herself pulled into cases of missing persons, deceitful renters, and unscrupulous or corrupt tenants. In time, Khaleesi becomes adept at sniffing out potential trouble, however, in the meantime, with each chapter, she often becomes involved in a new mystery—love letters left in an abandoned unit, a Dodge Charger stuffed with stolen car parts and infant seat, strange beings in the trees, exploding RVs, mysterious happenings on video surveillance, court cases. Each new renter is a reason to keep the bolt cutter handy. Storage Queen Chronicles is a razor-sharp, darkly funny collection of interconnected stories that blend mystery, wit, and a hint of absurdity. For fans of unexpected drama and amateur sleuths with attitude, Khaleesi is the heroine for you. Unlock each unit. Peek inside. You’ll be surprised at what you will find.
