Mark Walczynski is retired from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, Office of Law Enforcement. He currently teaches history, philosophy, and criminal justice course at Illinois Valley Community College in Oglesby, Illinois and is the park historian for the Starved Rock Foundation.
