EMILY ISRAEL HOFFMAN graduated from Lake Forest College with a bachelor’s degree in communication. After graduation, she worked in commercial real estate and founded a breast cancer charity in memory of her mother, The Renée Israel Foundation. In 2011, Emily published her first book, A Blending of Bittersweet Memories, a cookbook dedicated to those who have lost a loved one. In 2013, Emily published her second book, a colorful children’s book to encourage healthy eating, Why Are You So Strong, Stanley? The series, Stanley and Walker, began as a collaboration between Emily, and her son, Palmer, modeled after their pups.
ELLEN SUE STERN is the author of twenty books, translated to fourteen languages-https:ellensuestern.com. Her titles include Expecting Change: The Emotional Journey Through Pregnancy (Bantam, 1986), The Indispensable Woman (Bantam, 1988), as well as several parenting books, including including Questions Kids Wish They Could Ask Their Parents, Divorce Is Not The End of
the World Tricycle Press/Penguin Random House, co-authored with her kids, Zoe Stern and Evan Stern, as well as the Protect This Girl Book and Journal (Celestial Arts, 1994).
