Book Details

This book has taken sore eyes and imagination to the next level. Though short, these poems will live on in our memories. I hope while you are reading them that you will find that one, two, three that speak to you and have you mesmerized. Gino

Endangered as the arsons match
A scratch away from flame and ash
The day burns fast into the past
Creation and cremation masked
In teardrops splashed
From smoke filled eyes
Clearing hope from compromise
Initiating cries that douse
The fires that inspire doubt
But leave behind
The warmth of life
To share with fans
That stoke the wise
Woke to sleepy warning signs
To strive
Instead of mourning times
Relation to your fame

About the Author

David R. DeBrito

David DeBrito is not the national best-selling, award winning author of dozens of the world’s most prolific modern poetry books. His works have not been published in countless languages and distributed around the globe. His lack of membership in The Republic of National Poets, Literary Geniuses of America or the Dead Poets Society has lent no favor to his achievements. Hell, he is but a minute member of society in general. He is simply a semi-intelligent California native who sheds some interesting shades of light onto everyday words, common occurrences and random thought for creative contemplation. But hey, this is some good shit. Just read it.
