Serenades for the Soul is a series of inspirational poems spanning 47 years in the life of a former NASA engineer. The author, a Hispanic man born to English and Spanish heritages in the “melting pot” of southern Texas, defied the odds to raise a family in the very different culture of Houston, while dealing with the unfathomable challenges of space program assignments. His cultural heritage, and his determination to succeed, resulted in a man of unique sensitivities and steadfast resolve—qualities he brings to his poetry.
