Luis is a Colombian journalist with MS in Communications who resides in USA since 2001. In his native city, Barranquilla, Luis was reporter of El Heraldo Daily, professor in the Faculty of Social Communication-Journalism at the Autonoma del Caribe University and regional coordinator of special reports in El Tiempo (Caribe) Daily.

In America, Luis was the first editor of Sea Latino Newspaper in Seattle, WA, associate editor of Que Pasa Newspaper in North Carolina and worked for Winston Salem-Forsyth County Schools at the ESL Department of Hill Middle School, and the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, UNCG.

Mr. Paez also taught Spanish and Medical Terminology for Health Care Professionals at the Forsyth Technical Community College and Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. Today, he lives in the New York city metropolitan area with his Filipino wife Ruth and their daughters Ana and Sarah.
