Timothy Cole is a native San Diegan whose youth-time passion for carnivals led to his becoming the owner of the 1925 Giant Dipper roller coaster and getting involved in one of the city’s most challenging and successful preservation efforts ever. In 2017 he was bestowed the honor of being made Honorary Member of the American Coaster Enthusiasts for his dedication towards saving and restoring the landmark and for his research of Belmont Park. He attended SDSU and currently works in the theater world and participates in several local writing, story-telling, and performing art venues.
