Has Sarah lost her mind? Boarding a plane and going west was never in her life’s plan. Then again, what she was living through was never a part of her life’s plan either. Heading to her friend Ruth’s family ranch, Sarah wasn’t sure if she was running away from her past or running toward a new future. On the plane, Sarah felt as if she was heading in the right direction on putting her life back together. Upon arrival, Ruth’s brother, Caleb, caused her confidence in her decision to falter when he was not pleased to see Sarah arrive at the ranch. Hearing Caleb’s angry rant to Ruth, Sarah was ready to head home. Through a strange, but funny, twist of events, Sarah ended up cooking for the family and ranch hands as she sorted out whether she would stay or if she would rush back to Virginia. As Sarah explored the ranch with Ruth, Sarah discovered there were numerous hiding places along the river. Sarah wondered if she could find her a secret haven along the river.
