Book Details

In the 1940s, as U.S. soldiers were returning from World War II and families were being joyfully reunited, Roy Patton Jr. was born on his grandfather’s farm near Sauk Rapids, Minnesota. Growing up in a small community with a large extended family, Roy spent much of his childhood outdoors—fishing, trapping muskrats, catching gophers, and getting into trouble…with his faithful dog, Lucky, by his side. “This made for a world every youngster should have the privilege of growing up in. Unfortunately…I realize that now more than I did then.” In his memoir, Roy shares memories of a simpler time. Roy’s Stories are filled with adventure and humor, laced with nostalgia, and overflowing with love for family. Today, Roy lives in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan with Judy, his wife of over fifty years and his high school sweetheart. They have three grown sons.
