An Essential Collection of the Best Rock and Roll Stories Ever Told

It’s impossible to overstate the impact rock and roll has had on American culture. It’s considered an institution as valid as any. Its pinnacle was the golden age of the ’60s and ’70s. It featured the greatest rock bands ever assembled whose audience was an open-minded generation of young people wanting change, both politically and socially. Rock and roll answered that call with a vengeance. It was the engine that drove the counter-culture into its historic proportions. The rock groups that led this movement became as legendary as their music. From their struggles to their antics, they became larger than life. This book is a diverse collection of some of rock music’s most fascinating characters, stories, facts and trivia. Presented with dry humor and smart-ass comments, it is fast-paced and fun to read. It brings you right in and keep you there from cover to cover. It effectively captures the spirit of rock and roll, written from the experienced perspective of a ’60s rebel who collected these stories along his incredible journey. Consider this your invitation to a trip through the era that rocked our world with the greatest bands and music ever produced. Enjoy!

About the Author

Jersey C. Shore

I was born in Glen Ridge, New Jersey, and raised in neighboring Cedar Grove. I was introduced to rock and roll early on in the post-Elvis era, around 1961. In school, I remained vastly unpopular, though notorious. Whenever something hit the fan, I was generally a good place to point the finger. Then I learned to give the finger. The counter-culture allowed me to write my own ticket as a hell-raising non-conformist who found it difficult to take anyone or anything too seriously. I brought my passion to the radio industry and was considered the “go-to” guy for the facts and trivia. I possess so much of it that I wrote it down to be published. I hope everyone enjoys reading it as I have collecting it.
